Mathsman

Mathsman is presently being written by Mark Longson who has taught Mathematics at all levels for over 20 years (for eighteen of which he was Head of Mathematics at an Independent College in Oxford) and is now working at Headington School in Oxford as Music Administrator and teacher of Piano, Doublebass and Music Theory. This change of career has lead to a much greater output in the writing of Mathematics questions at all levels, indeed Mr Longson has just completed writing a GCSE course for the web which may be found at www.xlmaths.co.uk/gcse.

The aim of the Mathsman course is to allow students to pick their own problematic topics and to study the appropriate Mathsman topic. Each Mathsman topic starts with basic knowledge that is required for that topic, it is so important to grasp the basics in order to build for the future. The Mathsman topic then progresses on to the appropriate level for AS or A2, culminating in a final Mathsman "How much do you Know?" quiz.

Mathsman is fun and enjoyable, without misrepresenting the standards required for AS & A2.
